Emergency Transportation Tips Available at the Reeves Center
(Washington, DC) The DC Department of Transportation will distribute additional copies of the pamphlet Transportation Tips During an Emergency Incident at the Reeves Center, 2000 14th Street, NW, 2nd floor atrium, 9 am-4 pm, Thursday, March 11th through Friday, March 19th (U Street Metrorail stop, north entrance, Green Line, is one block from Reeves Center). Each request will generally be limited to 250 per person/organization.
The six-page pamphlet features an explanation of the evacuation routes, including a map and pictures of the street signs directing motorists to Virginia and Maryland, a directory of websites and phone numbers, information on radio broadcasts via both Highway Advisory Radio and the Emergency Alert System (EAS) and a list of bike trails that can be used by cyclists or pedestrians.
The pamphlet was distributed in the District in the Sunday
Washington Post and via the US Postal Service. It is also available on the DDOT
website.
