Traffic Alert for Immediate Release April 3, 2003 Traffic Under Thomas Circle Restricted to Two Lanes Starting today, weather permitting, traffic on Massachusetts Avenue under Thomas Circle will be restricted to one lane in each direction in the westbound side of the tunnel in order to complete the tunnel repairs. In September, when this phase of the work is completed, traffic will be shifted to the eastbound lane.
