Dan Tangherlini Elected Vice President of Northeast Transportation Officials
(Washington, DC) Dan Tangherlini, Director of the D.C. Department of Transportation, was named vice president of the Northeast Association of State Transportation Officials (NASTO), the leading organization of state transportation secretaries and directors in the northeast. The election was at the annual NASTO conference on April 3-6 in Washington.
"It is an honor indeed to be recognized by NASTO," said Tangherlini. "While we still have much more work to do to give transportation its proper focus in the District, this election by my colleagues is extremely important recognition of how far we’ve come."
NASTO is composed of the transportation directors from Connecticut, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, Québec, Rhode Island and Vermont.
